The most distinct part of any of the Hindi movies are the songs featured in the movies. Even in the early phases of filmmaking, the Old Hindi Songs have always been an integral part of the narrative in the movies
In fact with the passage of time, the Old Hindi songs have evolved and have further been developed and perfected, refined & resources to download hindi songs. And today the hindi songs have pervaded almost all the aspects of the Indian life.
Be it weddings, funerals, state occasions, religious festivals, parades, parties or political conventions, there is always a hindi song available which would be able to match the mood of the setting in perfection.
In fact, most times it is the Old Hindi songs, which strike a nostalgic chord on any given occasion and match the mood perfectly. But on the rare occasions that the songs don’t seem to match up, many contemporary hindi songs also serve the purpose.
Old hindi songs have been a strong part of the Hindi movies since the release of the very first talking hindi movie on March 14, 1931 called Alam Ara. This movie was responsible for introducing the earliest and the old hindi songs.
The director of the movie chose the lyrics and the tunes of the songs himself. For recording the songs of this film only a harmonium and a tabla were used. The singer was usually out of the camera range and the singer sang into a hidden microphone.
With the advent of the Talkie Films, the old Hindi songs gave way to the birth of a whole new song writing and music composing industry. The Crowds thronged in multitudes to hear the old hindi songs such as Balam Aaye Baso More Man Mein and Dukh ke Din Ab Beete Nahin.
