Whenever an examination is conducted of the various attacks that have been made on the Christian music, there are some major tactics that are used. Some objections are in fact based on musical taste. This objection only stands valid on the assumption that certain music is worldly.
Of course the traditional Christian songs are beautiful, however, had the Christian songs that are being today been sung in the period of the 17th century, they would definitely have been denounced as heretical.
There was a time in the past when only certain chants of the Gregorian origin, which had a certain chord structure, were considered to be the only Holy Christian songs that were possible.
Songs and Music is actually a very interesting palette of sounds that contains a million colors. Red is a color that has often been associated with the Satan and Devil worship. But one thing that is overlooked is that the picture of crucifixion would not be painted at all without the color of red.
Similarly to say that only the Christian songs can contain or use certain sounds is akin to saying that a Christian painter cannot use the color of red that represents the Devil.
Another attack that has been used for long is that one should abstain from worldly things. But there are no verses in the Bible that outline or define what can be classified as the worldly type of songs and what can be classified as the Christian songs
